INTEGRITY, COMMITMENT AND ENTREPREUNERSHIP

Incorporated in Luxembourg in 2014, 3NITY GLOBAL is an investment platform, dedicated to Sub Sahara Africa markets. We have evolved from traditional investment management into an advisory boutique. We possess an entrepreneurial mindset and are not compromising with short term profit. We are serving Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) to help them achieve greater efficiency, moving their organizations to a next level as well as connecting them with investors and donors.

We target businesses that focus on climate mitigation, climate adaptation and gender-equality. We pride ourselves on selecting businesses that are working towards improving not only environment-friendly pratices, but also encourage female entrepreneurship and leadership.

In 2018, we expanded our operations and opened an office in Lubumbashi, second largest city of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
We speak the same language as local entrepreneurs while being aware of investors’ expectations and applying best practices on each mandate.

ADVISORY SERVICES

We have helped leading European financial institutions, fund managers and insurance companies allowing them to improve their bottom line by offering them various advisory services, such as the transformation of their operating models, the revamp of their information systems and the creation of sophisticated products.

Our investment vehicle USAWA was established in response to a need for shaping investable projects with patient capital in the form of convertible note: allowing SME to repay with equity rather than principal and interest for those having a growth potential.

PROJECT DEVELOPERS

Since 2014, we have structured ideas into business plans and delivered a variety of projects in the DRC either with our own funding sources or with the contribution of private and institutional investors.

What is your background?

I was born in Lubumbashi in 1971.

In 1981, my parents sent my brothers and I to Belgium to complete our education.

Following the death of my father, I was forced to find work in 1994, which enabled me two years later to get my first job in Brussels.

In 2001, I decided to try my luck in Luxembourg and joined Arthur Andersen, which later merged with Ernst and Young. From that time I retained three things: excellence, meritocracy and focus on results.

In 2004, I joined Fuchs & Associés as an internal auditor.

This experience gave me an insight into the world of asset management and led me to advise major financial players.

I was also struck by the fact that at the head of this company is a believer who strives to live his faith!

3nity Global was born in 2014 when I was a partner in a large consulting firm.

I am a pure hybrid product formatted in the West with African roots that I want to make the most of!

Why 3NITY

In 2006, when I was at a low point in my personal life, a priest I had turned to for support asked me if I was practicing my Christian faith.

In an attempt to answer him I turned to the Holy Trinity and soon overcame my trials.

3NITY is the answer to this question.

What motivated your return to the Congo?

The need to get out of my comfort zone and live something else that was close to my heart: the African adventure.

What are your achievements in the last 3 years?
  • A team composed of 5 people with the use of seasonal staff (about twenty persons depending on the projects)
  • $180,000 of capital raised from the diaspora in Luxembourg, Belgium and France to launch our operations in Congo in 2018
  • More than 500 market gardeners have benefited from our services through the markets we have built
  • More than 100 trucks mobilised in Walvis Bay, Durban,Kolwezi, Likasi, Lubumbashi transporting copper, cement, lime, etc.
Can you tell us about the major current projects ?
  • SokoMall: a supermarket in which we will set up our offices, a sales area for market gardeners and a fast food restaurant on Sendwe Avenue, corner Des Usines
  • Mwiinda project: setting up solar mini-grids to electrify the annexed commune of Lubumbashi and parts of the city of Kolwezi
  • Our factoring activities: a programme to meet the working capital needs of SMEs.

All these projects are important and close to my  heart.
